CBC was at Recife, Pernambuco, in August 2019, at the meeting for reactivation of Pernambucano Climate Change Forum, coordinated by the Secretariat of Environment and Sustainability (Semas). The discussion was about the goals and contributions of Brazil and Pernambuco in reducing greenhouse gases (GHG), based on Brazilian NDC and the Paris Agreement.  

The event had the presence of the executive director and the deputy executive director of CBC, Alfredo Sirkis and Sérgio Xavier, the South America Executive of ICLEI Secretary Rodrigo Perpétuo, and the state secretary for the environment, José Bertotti.
